Less than a quarter of Republicans in Congress actually voice support funding for President Donald Trumps wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, a new survey by USA Today said Wednesday.
The USA Today poll asked all members of Congress if they approved an initial $1.6 billion in funding to begin construction of a wall
According to the survey, only 69 of 292 GOP legislators responded that they approve of the plan. Three Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz.; Rep. Steve Pearce, R-N.M.; and Rep. Will Hurd, R-Texas said they oppose it. The rest didnt directly answer the question, or simply didnt respond.
USA Today said the survey was conducted by contacting all House and Senate offices.

If that be the case then, less than a quarter of the republican congressmen are not representing the views of their constituents and should be voted out of office.
ThoseRepublicansthat dont support the construction of a border security WALL dont give a damned for their constituents or the American citizen as a whole.
They should be remove from office ASAP.
Misleading. Just three Rep. Oppose funding at this time. The rest either refused to answer or ignored question completely.
IOW, FAKE NEWS!
Mexico gets to enforce its strict immigration laws BECAUSE they don’t have a fifth column of foreign nationals and their seditious who’ve pussy whipped their cowardly politicians.
Deport, wall out, repeat vigorously!
Ah, the good old days! Too bad this country won’t do a damn thing if those weak-spined RINOs get re-elected or are replaced by other RINOs.
What kind of GOP-e idiot would tell the MSM anything about future votes?
Other than McCain, Flake and Linda...
Just even more proof, as though we needed any more, that Republican does not equal Conservative.
Three Representatives, R-Texas, R-NM, and R-Arizona
WTH?
And since we want it they will be out on their asses next year if they don’t give it to us. PERIOD
They think that Trump’s movement will go away and the voters will keep voting for them.
Get them the hell out of office then!!!!
The same RINO’s want Trump to fail because he’s an outsider who truly represents the majority of Americans whereas they represent the lobbyist and special interest .
Bad headline. Should read “69 of 72 GOP lawmakers who responded support funding border wall”
And it needs to be more than just listening to a bunch of speeches on the Capitol steps.
Perhaps we can look to our forefathers for inspiration...
The first conflict of the American Revolution might be said to be the result of the Stamp Act of 1765. In August of 1765, Andrew Oliver, the Crown's stamp agent in Boston was hung in effigy from the Liberty Tree and forced to resign his commission.
"What a greater Joy did ever New England see
Than a Stampman hanging on a Tree".
Lt. Gov Thomas Hutchinson, regarded by the colonists as much too cozy with the Crown agents, and the sheriff attempted to break up the crowd around midnight only to be driven off by a hail of stones and harsh commentary.
A couple of weeks later a crowd gathered and lit a bonfire on King St in Boston. They then moved on to the house of William Story, a Crown agent in the admiralty court. The crowd swarmed the house, destroying Story's papers and his furnishings as well as Court records held there.
The crowd then moved on to the home of Boston's Controller of Customs, Benjamin Hallowell. They tore down his fence, broke out his windows, stormed the house and stripped it of contents.
The next target of the night was Hutchinson's home. The Lt. Gov. had gotten warning and sent his family to safety. But his eldest daughter had returned and declared she would stay unless Hutchinson also departed. Hutchinson retreated with her to a neighbor's house. The crowd did its work again and left only a shell and a partial roof to greet the dawn.
Thus our ancestors met overreaching government. It was not the last battle but merely a beginning. There followed the Declaratory Act and the Townsend Acts and the Tea Act. Martial law and direct resistance pushed back and forth until "The Shot Heard 'Round the World" and then it was game on.
No problem. They will be convinced of replaced.
we take political note of these politicians. We will not vote for them again.
Poll: Less than quarter of GOP lawmakers voice support for border wall
