Australia's warmest winter 'driven by climate change'
BBC ^ | September 19, 2017

Climate change has driven Australia to its warmest winter on record, a leading climate group has said.

Data released this month showed average maximum temperatures in the winter months of June to August were nearly 2C above average.

Climate change made the "exceptionally warm and dry" winter 60 times more likely, the Climate Council said in a report.

The group has linked the record hot winter to "worsening climate change". The Climate Council is an independent, non-profit organisation that was set up in 2013 to continue the work of its government-funded predecessor, which was abolished by the Tony Abbott government.

According to its report released on Tuesday - Hot and Dry: Australia's Weird Winter - winter warm spells are lasting longer, occurring more frequently and becoming more intense.

More than 260 heat and low rainfall records around Australia were broken this winter, the report said.

It said climate change and the burning of fossil fuels had driven Australia's average winter temperature up by about 1C since 1910. That figure was reported by the CSIRO, the nation's scientific research body, last year.

They still can’t distinguish between weather and climate.

These people will be whining in a few years when they are experiencing a normal winter.

There is no scientific link — this is not a Scientific Theory it is a guess.

I thought that the climate of the SH was somewhat decoupled from that of the NH.

In comparison to the NH, the human population of the higher latitudes is small.

BBC jumped on this nonsense Australian story instantly, yet took nearly a day to cover the study (spin it really) changing the manmade global warming story once again & admitting the predictions were wrong.

19 Sept: BBC: Paris climate aim ‘still achievable’
By Paul Rincon
(scroll down past the irrelevant opening paragraphs to one of BBC’s global warming gate-keepers, David Shukman)

Analysis by David Shukman, BBC Science Editor:
The climate models are exaggerating. The predictions are too alarmist. The Tuvaluans and other islanders are safer than we thought. These are among the conclusions that some might reach from this latest work. In reality, nothing is quite that straightforward. The models are simulated approximations of possible futures. Inevitably they are going to be at least slightly adrift of reality, either in the amount of warming or its timing.

They come with caveats and margins of error. In many ways, it’s remarkable that these computer constructs are even roughly on track. And models designed to come up with very broad potential outcomes for the end of the century may not be fine-tuned enough to give more detailed forecasts year-by-year...

more FAKE news- Australia- has DEBUNKED the reporting
of temperatures for YEARS!-

from 2014-
“ THE Bureau of Meteorology has been accused of manipulating historic temperature records to fit a predetermined view of global warming.

Researcher Jennifer Marohasy claims the adjusted records resemble “propaganda” rather than science.”

and Jennifer proved the faked the DATA!!- does not matter
the aussie “climate guys” - will just fake it even more

Fake news: There is little recorded information on climate data. There is great speculation on the ancient climate. The writer is quite biased drawing conclusions such slim data.

The climate changes all the time. Man has nothing to do with it.

In the last year, I’ve read a number of Conservative news reports that have described a software error at official Australia weather stations that prevented temperatures below a certain level from being recorded or reported.

I’ll look for the links later today when I have time.

Paris climate aim ‘still achievable’

Assuming everything they say is true, yes, the aim is still achievable, IF;

you reduce mankind to a level of industrialization comparable to what existed around the time of the Egyptian Middle Kingdom. The population of the earth, and it's standard of living, would have to be reduced accordingly.

Um....THE SUN!!! Hello McFly! Solar activity is at a 12-year high. Last peak was 2005, which had a little hurricane named "Katrina."

Why is so hard to understand that a STAR that is 93 million miles away, yet can burn your skin in half and hour, would heat the planet more when its more active?
