“We need to act on model warnings about climate change too
There are some exceptions. The bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus, which now includes 28 House Republicans, acknowledged the impacts climate change is having on disasters like Harvey and Irma. We need more conservatives to accept reality and join their ranks.”
Makes you want to throw up.

They can also save countless lives from climate change if we listen and take action to slow global warming. First we need to take action to slow hurricanes, then we can set larger goals such as changing the entire global climate.

People saved people. Models are only as accurate as the last model. They keep trumpeting the Euro model. It was horribly wrong. The US model was far more accurate. Especially, in Irmas case.

"Climate models have an even better track record than the weather models that saved lives in Texas and Florida."
Better track record of what? I don't know of single computer generated model which has provided any predictability. They have all fallen short. Back in the 80's Al Gore's "Earth in the Balance" flat out stated that Florida would be under water right now.

The impacts of hurricanes Harvey and Irma were blunted because we saw them coming. They were able to predict where they would hit with 90% certainty within about a 300 mile area two days before they hit.
Now try predicting the weather 100 years from now.

Nonsense. Seeing a hurricane from a satellite is like seeing a car 1/2 mile away, and predicting it will pass you within the next 60 seconds.
Climate modeling is like watching cars on a Dallas Freeway and trying to predict the next airplane crash in Spain.

Irma’s predicted track changed significantly every day.
People trying to evacuate didn’t know which way to go.
In the end, she went east of Tampa instead of west, as forecast.

"Weather models accurately predicted the hurricane paths"
Did the author forget that Irma's path shifted west approximately the width of Florida?

The forecasts for Irma SUCKED! For days we heard Miami/Ft Lauderdale will be hit. Mandatory evacuations will start Wednesday. Oh, the west side of Florida should not feel safe, but mandatory evacuations for Miami will begin Wednesday and Thursday for Ft. Lauderdale.
Then the very last minute they ordered evacuations for Marco, Naples, Ft. Meyers, Tampa etc. By that time the roads were bumper to bumper and all hotels were booked up (including Alabama and Georgia) or in the evacuation zones. I felt so sorry for those people.

Models saved zero life.
Cars, fossil fuel, concrete, buildings, wealth, people (all things Goebels warmers hate) saved life, just look at the countless hurricane deaths in the neighbouring countries who don’t have much of them.
