The statewide survey of California Democrats by UC Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies found only 30 percent believe House Democrats should choose Pelosi to stay on as their leader should they win back the House of Representatives in 2018. Some 44 percent prefer somebody else taking over.
Democrats have long watched in disappointment as Republicans consistently use Pelosi as “one of their main battering rams” in competitive House races, said Mark DiCamillo, director of the poll.
“What California Democrats see is that Pelosi’s image in other parts of the country is not positive,” DiCamillo said, “and it becomes a drag in their quest to retake the House.”
California Democrats’ souring views on Pelosi come amid a leftward shift in the state party as its veteran guard gives way to a new generation of politicians.
The UC Berkeley poll found that voters between the ages of 18 and 29 and those who identify as “strongly liberal” have considerably more favorable views of first-year U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris.

My wife was the head RN in a busy FP practice for 3 + decades. Many of their elite female patients were addicted to Plastic Surgery and Botox injections. She labeled it the Barbara Boxer look and mental syndrome. She says Pelosi appears to have the same mental syndrome of too much Botox and Plastic Surgery.
If the patients had another face lift, their public hair would become a goatee. Between the Botox and plastic surgery their face was as tight as a new snare drum. Their eyes had a frozen look. Their mental capabilities decreased with each Botox injection. Boxer's aides watched her like a hawk because she had no filters left when she talked. Pelosi is showing the same negative oral utterings.
Pelosi's comments re President Bush instead of President Trump, indicate that she has reached the Barbara Boxer syndrome due to Botox and Plastic Surgery abuse.

Well, I am real tired of the mind number creatures call California Democrats. They are totalitarian in nature, illiterate in accountancy, lemming like in following Communist (yes communist) ideology. They are a danger to the State of California and to the USofA. The only thing worse is the feeble opposition mounted by the California GOP.

I have to turn the channel every time I hear her nauseating voice on the radio. The only consolation is that Nancy is singlehandedly responsible for the defeat of so many of her candidates. As long as she is here the Dems have little chance of retaking the house.
I wonder if they don’t like her because she’s too far left or not far left enough.

If I had to guess, I'd say that she has a protégé lined up.
My bet is on Mark Leno to replace her. He just retired from the State Senate after also being in the Assembly. It looks like he's building a campaign war chest for mayor of San Francisco, but I wonder if he'd prefer to be in the United States Congress representing San Francisco?
