Single Payer is not the same as a government run health system like that in Britain.

But the average American is stupid and won't be able to figure out the difference.

If we can confuse them into thinking Single Payer = Government Employed doctors and that scares the Bejeesus out of them, then so be it.

If the government pays for it all. The government will regulate how it’s all spent. therefore, it is government-run regardless of who takes your blood pressure or gives you the shot.AFSME will actually run everything and give a good chunk of the proceeds to the Democrats. Whee!

Oh, but it is. Once the government pays the bills, it will regulate the providers to ensure the bills are as small as possible.

Guess I am an “Average American who is stupid...” I have heard the terms used interchangeably for years.

What are the differences - in the end result, is it not the same?
