Pre-election polling was indicating this outcome, but it's nice to see it come to fruition. We all know how accurate pre-election polls can be . . .

It's nice to see some sense in Europe, outside of Eastern Europe.

Norway is in Europe geographically, but it is NOT a member of the EU. So they do not have that particular anchor dragging them down.

Now with 99.8 percent of the vote counted.

https://www.valgresultat.no/?type=st&year=2017

Our four totaled 48.9 percent of the voted. Their five parties, 49.2 percent. While the difference is small, they won the popular vote.

BUT … each of our parties made the 4 percent threshold for nationwide allocation of seat, including the Liberals with 4.3 and Christian Democrats with 4.2. And, two of their parties failed to make the 4 percent threshold, including the Greens with 3.2 and the Reds with 2.4. So, many of their votes were washed down the drain.

One many can be credited with the conservatives coming to the fore. Anders Behring Breivik. He crippled the youth movement of the socialists, originally modeled after the Hitler Jugend, whose purpose was to raise an ideologically pure socialist next generation of leaders.

Had he not done so, by now Norway, with its small population, might be well on the way to destruction, via uncontrolled immigration, a tool of the socialists to turn it into a one party socialist district in the EU, while destroying its national identity, culture, history and language.

In short, Norway and the Norwegian people would cease to exist, supplanted by a “gray” society dominated by immigrants and ruled by the socialist party. Everything that they were and are would be ruined.

But he threw a lug wrench into their machine, giving the conservatives the opportunity to restore their nation. An ugly thing, indeed, but he did it for his homeland and his people.
