My daughter got out from ground zero five miles from the eye which is hitting at mm 22 right now on Friday with no problems.
Most gas is at the turnpike rest stops however tankers are still running and if you look hard enough you can find a station. Most have lines. POwer losses will be epic. Tough storm, still hard to predict. I had a bunch of political stuff but it will have to wait.

Great essay today Texas and Florida are being well run with Greg Abbott and Rick Scott with huge assistance form fema and Trump who has been magnificent in these storms. without these guys you get busses in the parking lot and little leadership.
BTW, I'll be in Orlando Friday the 22rd.
Looks like Irma is going to pass directly over me Tues early morning hours. If it doesn't touch Florida's west coast at all but makes landfall in Apalachicola to Steinhatchee, how strong do you think she's be? Because she tracks North by Northwest directly over my town!
Was thinking of you this week as Irma approached. Glad to hear you are in relative safety.
Seeing shots of Islamorada on ABC...still standing and looking strong...as much as could be seen. Fingers crossed.
