How goes it your way?

Things are good here other than worrying about Judi. We’ve been enjoying some wonderful fall temps the past several days.

Still hot and and hotter! lol The drift smoke seems to have subsided so that’s a plus.

Glad I’m not in FL. Had relatives who went through Harvey and that was horrible but Irma is a nasty one! Prayers for all in harms way.

Bummer it’s still so hot out there. Nice to know the smoke isn’t as bad as it was. Makes it hard to walk out the door when the air chokes you.

I hope your relatives are ok and Harvey didn’t leave them with nothing. That was a nasty storm, no doubt.
People in FL are going to have a heck of a mess to deal with when Irma gets through with them. At least there are a lot of people already down there to begin helping them asap. Stout hearts to go now and ride out the storm.

I’m truly surprised at the relatives ‘it is what it is’ attitudes. I would be a total raving maniac. Both had over 20” of water in their homes. Very heart breaking. Whole house has to be gutted. *sigh*

I guess if one has been through more than one, they can get that attitude. Kind of like us who live in tornado country. You hope you don’t get hit but if you do, you just clean up the mess and go on. Took us a year to get all the mess cleared around the farm after we were hit. We were just extremely fortunate that the house came through unscathed. Still haven’t figured out how.

Sorry to hear they had all that water in their homes. It’ll take a while to get that kind of mess dealt with so they can live in them again. :-(
I assume they’re ok, though, and that’s the bright side. Things can be replaced but people can’t.
