He fires anything at us or Japan, and the response will be nuclear destruction of North Korea. There will be nothing nuclear about any possible response from the US. We had terrorists attacks on US soil on 9/11, and our response was way more muted than many predicted.

The difference there is we did not have a nation-perp for 9/11. Here we would know that the NORKS did it.
