Prosecutors have given Imran Awan a copy of the hard drive of a House laptop that Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz tried to keep law enforcement from looking at, court filings show, suggesting prosecutors intend to bring charges related to the underlying cybersecurity and theft probe.

The hard-drive copy was included in discovery even though the Florida Democrat has said the laptop contains House information on it and is a government-paid work computer, and even though Imran was fired and banned from the House network because of suspected cybersecurity violations.

I still don’t fully get this idea of Imran Awan intentionally leaving the laptop to be “found” — it seems like such a risky and unreliable way of getting it to investigators, if that’s what he was supposedly doing. Some 3rd party could have found it and kept/stolen the laptop (in which case it would never see light of day, maybe being erased and re-used for other purposes), or more likely it might have been turned over to DWS or even to Pelosi’s office. How was there any guarantee that it would get to the “correct” investigators, and why wouldn’t Imran take a more direct action to provide evidence to investigators, if that was any part of his intention?

The conventional wisdom is that Imran has only been charged with bank-fraud related to trying to flee with cash he allegedly conned out of the Congressional Federal Credit Union. .......

......but the timeline makes clear that a serious criminal investigation into those House issues was the impetus for those moves.....

The found notebook also included “case details” and letters about “the apparent owner of the bag being investigated,” well before he was accused of bank fraud.

no way he left it. It was totally out of the way for him i read. Unless he did it and tipped off the police himself that it was there but we’ve seen nothing saying they found it responding to a tip. It was a routine search as far as i can see.

There's a lot of evidence L/E can work w/ now ......layers and layers of evidence. And more evidence just lying around.....waiting to be found.

Here's why:

At the time these shenanigans were taking place, they were operating under the assumption that Hillary was a shoo-in for president. D/W/S pulled out all the stops to fix the primary for Hillary, figuring she'd be one of Hillary's Cabinet Secretary's.

So if things seem slipshod, crimes casually committed, incriminating evidence just left lying around, it's b/c they all figured once Hillary was ensconced in the Oval Office, the games could go on.

Just from the preliminary evidence we can safely assume that the Awan clan (Imran, his wife, his two brothers and a pal), are also targets of an investigation into:

HERE'S A PEEK AT THE 120,000 TAX DOLLAR SCAM---The Daily Caller reported Awan's employer, NY Democrat Yvette Clarke, wrote-off (made disappear) $120,000 of tech devices that would have bought an astounding 10 iPhones and 10 iPads for each of her 16 employees. Democrat Clarke (or her staff) would have had to sign an official voucher for each tech purchase.

Democrat Yvette Clarke didn't notice? (A) that her office purchased 120,000 tax dollars of tech equipment? (B) in quantities her 16-man office did not plausibly need? (C) that never actually materialized in her office? (b/c it had been delivered to Imran's residence).

The tech equipment scam was facilitated by falsifying procurement forms w/ a Hill tech supplier of govt issue-equipment.
