House Speaker Paul Ryan on Wednesday told Dreamers to rest easy because his chamber will work with President Trump to come up with a plan to reform the immigration process a day after the administration began phasing out the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals program.
We will not be advancing legislation that doesnt have the support of President Trump because we are going to work with the president on how to do this legislation, Ryan (R-Wis.) said during a news conference of Republican House leaders.
I think people should rest easy, and I think the president made the right call and the president also gave us the time and space were going to need to find where that compromise is, Ryan said.
This is a home that people know and they dont know any other country as a home. I think theres a serious humane issue here that needs to be dealt with, but its only fitting and reasonable that we also deal with some of the root causes of this problem because what we dont want to have happen is another DACA problem 10 years from now. We want to make sure that we to fix this issue for these kids for these young people and address the root cause of the problem.
But in the Senate, Minority Leader Chuck Schumers patience was already running out.

Seems like when congress gets involved they never “fix” anything. They make the problems in our country worse.
didnt he release a statement over the weekend that he said Trump was wrong? Bonehead.....
I want to rest easy! Fund the wall you flipping commie!
Will they be putting something in like the 14th amendment fiasco? If they do, that will be the end of America.
This Congress needs to be turned out in 2018! Primary every one of them.
Takin’ $$$ from hilLIAR lately, Traitor?
Nothing like a Republican to fulfill a Democrat agenda.
Republicans are a Democrat party front group.
I will vote for ANYONE other than a Republican. Your party MUST DIE.
Even Boll Clinton never gave amnesty to children of illegals
Goes to show republican leadership is to the left of Bill Clinton
Think about that for a minute.
Nice.
GEEBUS this f**tard has GOT TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boll = Bill, oops
Boll = Bill, oops
Slimy RINO liar. Working to undermine Trump at every turn. Why should those gang members be allowed to stay? And even the others-—sure, they’re getting ahead, with a STOLEN education, STOLEN food, STOLEN housing and medical care—things Americans paid for and to which the “dreamers” had no right. Do Americans get such a heads up, especially from the countries these “dreamers” came from? If lucky, they’d be deported. Otherwise, probably imprisoned or shot. This issue should have been dealt with long ago, and then you wouldn’t have college age “dreamers” going on and on about “they want to be a doctor”, etc. Their thieving criminal parents would have been deported and these would not be here.
I would take the statement to mean they will introduce legislation ending “birthright” citizenship. Since we know that is a major root cause of illegal aliens making sure that their children are born in the U.S.
Ryan, you snake in the grass, any “compromise” MUST include TOTAL wall funding, NO expansion of DACA, complete funding for increased border control & ICE staffing (HUGE increase in personnel in both areas), Trump’s reform of the immigration laws, IMMEDIATE END OF CITIZENSHIP AT BIRTH for children of ANYONE OTHER THAN CITIZENS or legally admitted immigrants, and provision of COMPLETE stoppage of ALL federal funds to sanctuary towns, cities, counties & states.
I always find it interesting just how many politicians, reporters, actors, etc., are more concerned about foreign invaders than they are about US citizens.
He desperately needs to be Cantorized. If I were in his district, I’d vote for the Democrat in the general election. Just as well to have a genuine Democrat instead of a fake Democrat.
We will not be advancing legislation that doesnt have the support of President Trump because we are going to work with the president on how to do this legislation, Ryan (R-Wis.) said during a news conference of Republican House leaders.Translation: "Don't blame us. It's Trump's fault."
