Mexico's deputy foreign minister, Carlos Sada, said Trump's decision created "anxiety, anguish and fear" for the roughly 625,000 Mexican nationals protected under the program.
"They are exceptional. ... This is as emotional for the United States as for Mexico," Sada said at a news conference immediately following the announcement to end the program.
He said his government would press U.S. lawmakers for a quick solution to the uncertainty that "Dreamers," as they are commonly called, now face in their adopted home.
Immigrants who opt to return to Mexico will be welcomed with "open arms," Sada said, offering them assistance with work, finances and education.

I wish I had more than 2 middle fingers.
Excellent point about the double jeopardy we are experiencing with this double hit on the economy.
Why won’t they offer total them back? Isn’t that just a bit embarrassing?
We’ve already emptied out Mexico. The ones we’re getting now are coming from central America. Some real “winners” too.
You’d think they’d want these people. Not only are they better educated than their own population, but they’re also spanish-english bi-lingual.
Call them home!!!!
They have got to start charging a fee on money sent across the border. There is the money for the wall. I want an analysis of the DACA applicants. How many have jobs, what are those jobs. How many are in college, what are they studying? Have any of them accepted welfare, healthcare on the taxpayers etc.
I am sure it does, but it makes the rest of us feel better.
No wonder they want these invaders to continue to occupy our lands. Follow the money.
When they say it's not about the money, you can best believe, it's ONLY about the money.
why do not they want these ‘exceptional’ criminals back?
BECAUSE they are criminals who are unwanted.
How many are in college in the town where they grew up? How many have moved to another city for work?
My children have moved many times. Is anyone bawling for them? They moved because we made them. They survived. Our oldest children moved from Virginia where the schools were excellent to Mexico North. They were aliens to their peers. They survived.
How much are Mexico, et al, going to pay us for education, etc.?
PING
They urge protection for them because the chances of them being murdered in their own country are more likely than in the U.S. They don’t want that expense.
ROTFLMAO
Mexico is upset because this will be the biggest setback for their invasion and takeover plan in 40 years.
These are people in their early to mid-20s in general. They WERE going to have anchor babies and triple or quadruple in number.
Now they have uncertainty and probable moving plans in their future.
This has the Mexican Caudillos in a fury. They didn’t think Trump would do it because of the bad publicity.
But Trump correctly sees that handing over residency to them is suicide, and far outweighs any temporary image problems with Democrat women (the main people upset).
This is the turning point. No prior “Republicans” had the guts to go there, and we now know that the Bush family was batting for the other team the whole way.
Thank God for Donald Trump. For the first time in 20 years I think I can see a future for my normal, baseball playing blue eyed boy in the country that his ancestors started 240 years ago.
The Rabi Blancos that run these countries don’t want these peasants back. Especially now they have acquired their entitled attitudes. Make them take them. End apartheid in Latin America!
They will be well taken care of on their trip home. After that it’s on you.
Hillary was in violation of the eleventh amendment when she was Secretary of State and sponsered the law suit against Arizona with those greaseball countries in Central and South America. They all take an oath to uphold the Constitution but betray it at every turn. For that, these trashbags should be arrested for treason and exacuted if necessary.
They are “entitled” now.
