SKorean Defense Minister to US: Redeploy Nukes to Peninsula

South Korean Defense Minister Song Young-moo said Monday he would like the United States to consider redeploying nuclear weapons to the peninsula as threats from North Korea intensify.

In the wake of North Korea's nuclear test over the weekend, Song is now calling on the U.S. to look at its 1991 withdrawal of nuclear weapons from South Korea.

Song said he spoke with Defense Secretary James Mattis and asked him to beef up the U.S. military presence in and around South Korea as its northern neighbor shows no signs of backing off its aggressive actions that include multiple missile tests this year.

"The redeployment of tactical nuclear weapons is an alternative worth a full review," Song said during a parliamentary hearing, according to The Washington Post.

"I told [Mattis] that it would be good for strategic assets to be sent regularly to the Korean Peninsula and that some South Korean lawmakers and media are strongly pushing for tactical nuclear weapons [to be redeployed]."

As the Post notes, the U.S. brought all of its tactical nuclear weapons deployed overseas back stateside in 1991. At the time, the U.S. military had roughly 100 such pieces of ordinance stationed in South Korea.

President Donald Trump and South Korean President Moon Jae-in spoke Monday about the North Korean situation. The pair agreed "in principle" to let South Korea scrap a weight limit on warheads for its missiles, while Trump signaled the U.S. would sell South Korea billions of dollars worth of weapons.

In addition to this, every American should start boycotting Communist Chinese products with vengeance, until they stop trading with their good friends, the North Koreans.

It's a psychological move.

They don't need to deploy land based nukes.

We have subs that can take out the entire region parked off the coast.

OK, why don’t you go ahead and bring in a whole bunch of hydrogen bombs.

Say, in the next hour or two.

We had nice, cute little nukes for our 155mm M109 howitzers back in the 60’s in good ‘ol Deutschland.
Air burst, of course—BUT they would do the job on Russian tanks; iffen they were to MASS them, as they do, and their artillery too.
Never got the chance to use them, but would have ben INTERESTING had the “balloon” ever gone “up”.

We don’t need nukes in sokor...boomers can have one there in a few minutes. In fact we need to pull our troops out of sokor before the fireworks begin.. We need to immediately suspend all trade with China. Foxcon can sell the iPhone’s to the Norks...
