We weren’t for the first Trade Center bombing either.
This was an attack based on the belief we are the great Satan.
You can’t possibly believe they will begin at the beginning.
It all begins with Jimmy (AKA “Bozo”) Carter stepping on his schwantz when Iranian “students” laid seige to the US Embassy in Tehran in the autumn of 1979. Which they did at the behest of the Soviets, because Moscow knew that Carter couldn’t fart and chew gum at the same time, so he would be too flummoxed with the predicament in Iran to respond to their military aggression in Afghanistan.
The Soviets only were emboldened to risk the invasion of Afghanistan by a conspicuously weak US president, and it was that invasion which gave rise to a Wahabist revolutionary by name of Usama bin Laden.
