The Justice Department has given special counsel Robert Mueller a copy of the letter President Trump drafted with his rationale for firing former FBI Director James Comey, according to a New York Times report.
However, White House counsel Don McGahn ended up blocking the letter, which was written with adviser Stephen Miller, because he believed its “angry, meandering tone” was an issue.
Ultimately, the president’s draft was sent to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who wrote a letter of his own that was used by the Trump administration as reason for firing Comey.
The draft is significant, however, because the reasons for firing Comey are believed to be a significant focus of Mueller’s investigation.
Rosenstein's primary rationale for firing Comey had to do with the “Director’s handling of the conclusion of the investigation of Secretary Clinton’s emails.” He also said the “FBI’s reputation and credibility have suffered substantial damage” under Comey.
The New York Times did not see a copy of the letter, so it is unclear how much of Trump’s draft focused on the Russia investigation.

I remember yesterday The Slimes reporting this, but there was also another thread here that revealed that Comey had acted quite improperly when he apparently was ready to finish up things and let Hillary off the hook before the FBI investigators had actually completed their work concerning her email scandal.
Therefore, this letter seems to be more much ado about nothing concerning Comey, Mueller, and these other clowns.

Significant focus? What a crock. Mueller's investigation has NO focus. Its only objective is to 'get Trump' on something. Anything. The GOP could reign in this guy but they won't. The GOP is content to let Mueller continue his fishing expedition, and we all know why.
Maxine Stalin Waters has said it would’ve been A-OK for Hitlery Rotten Clinton to fire Comey (and she supports that action). It was just “wrong” for Trump to do it.

He had a right to be angry. Hillary was let off the hook when she actually committed a crime and Trump campaign was being investigated over bogus activity with bogus, made up evidence.
Mueller better come up with a lot more than this silly type nonsense before overthrowing our elected president. If they do overthrow, Trump will have plenty of support in his corner. None like they’ve never seen. Mueller, Comey, the media, and a lot of these swamprats will become the enemy of the people.

Hugely disappointed Jeff Seesion. He has turned out to be the best thing deep state could have at AG. At least Sen Grassly is doing a serious look at leaking liar Comey.
Mueller is also dirty, if Mueller were clean he never would have accepted the job due to his close relationship to Comey.

Well, he can fall back on comey’s “recollections” that he jotted down AFTER his meeting with the PRESIDENT. What horse crap. How do we know some one in the secretarial pool didn’t just make up some general comments.

This is all part of defending Comey’s document exonerating Clinton before the investigation really even got underway. The MSM will try to say that people write embarrassing letters all the time and that’s just standard.
Darn tooting he was angry..! More then half the nation was and still is angry... And I'm sure a whole bunch of folks wrote ANGRY letters..... I say Trump's letter was just one of tens of thousands of such letters....
Sessions is not a law and order Republican. He is a weak closet liberal. Otherwise we should have Hillary and Comey Special Counsel hearings and resulting in jail., President Trump ran on law and order and every American is under the same law blanket. Why has President Trump purposefully not ordering the DOJ to investigate the many communist liberals Democrats? Law and Order??????? President Trump, you are letting us down.
