Los Angeles has joined Seattle, Portland, and many other cities in replacing the annual Columbus day celebration with Native American Day.

But that won’t happen in Philadelphia if the Italian-American community has anything to say about it.

“We need to learn from history, not take down history,” said Marco Circelli, Executive Director of the Filitalia Museum on Passyunk Avenue.

He tells visitors the story of Christopher Columbus and other Italian explorers who paved a path to the new world. But in recent years, more than two dozen U.S. cities have decided to turn their backs on Columbus, and instead celebrate the offspring of the natives he annihilated.

The left and their progressive allies wearing R jerseys want to delegitimize every aspect of American history to delegitimize the nation.

Why stop at Columbus? The names of all those evil early European explorers should be erased.

The American continents, who were named after Amerigo Vespucci, must definitely be changed. Let's see. North Obamaland and South Obamaland should do it.

All those California and S.W. towns, which started as evil Christian missions got to go. Let's see. We'll change Los Angeles to Satan City; San Diego to Indigenousville; San Franscisco to Transgenderville and so forth. We must have diversity, which is defined as anything except Conservative, Christian or Caucasian !!

Let's not stop at Columbus - let's just remove or change every name in the nation that has anything to do with its European founding history. That will satisfy all the loonies in the nation. Right?

The ancestors of the Indians came from Asia over the land bridge now known as The Aleutian Islands.
