Parents who attend church weekly, have a college degree or higher, earn $75,000 per year or more, are a Republican or conservative are among the parents least likely to send their child to a public school, according to an analysis by Gallup.

By contrast, those who seldom or never attend church, have no religious preference, or have a household income of $30,000 or less are most likely to send their child to a public school, according to Gallup.

“Eighty-five percent of U.S. parents of school-aged children have a child in public school, while 9% send their child to private school, 3% send theirs to parochial school and 3% home-school,” said Gallup in its analysis. “Regular churchgoers, those with postgraduate education and upper-income adults are the least likely subgroups of parents to send their child to public school, while lower-income and nonreligious parents are the most likely.”

After several years of demanding public school while I put the kids in private or home schooling, my wife finally got her way and off they went to public. Once there, didn’t take long for her to realize how bad it was and now wants them out.

Avoid the government schools at all costs if at all possible.

Wow, who could have guessed that people who have more disposable income would do such a thing? /heavy sarcasm

Don’t lump in poor folks with the rest of the leftist demograph-rich liberals send their kids to public school- its were they get educated. Poor folks may not have a fiscal means to send kids to private schools, but most can if they would try.

Most Christin schools offer reduced tuition for members kids, so the linkage I think is far more morally based that fiscal.

Many conservative families cannot afford private schools either- he either are endowed by their congregation, or they homeschool etc.

Mrs Warrior, a RN by training, elected to stay home and raise/educate our kids. We could have had a fat two income situation, but rather, we chose to invest in our off spring.

Liberals don’t. Except elitist liberals.

Maybe they don’t want their kids turning into gender-benders and fags? Worth every penny if you ask me.

They should make everyone go to private. As it is, one side gets all the benefits.

American public schools are run like prisons. They are no longer places of educational excellence, but boot camps for PC youth battalions.

No meaningful learning happens there, more often, indoctrination, discipline on matters PC and the extinguishing of the intellect wherever possible.

On the other hand, they are great workplaces for teachers thanks to the unions.

Golly, ya think? People who know the system is inimical to their values ... and people who can afford better.

Somebody cue Captain Obvious!

Who in their right mind would willfully subject their precious children to sexual perversion (sodomy, tranny, the whole trans-gender mess), anti Christian, anti American, anti white racism, communist marxist indoctrination and social engineering? Tagline

I wasn’t lumping in anyone, just stating a fact of economic reality. If you make less than 30,000 dollars a year you most likely do not have the necessary resources to send your child to a private school. Unless you are being subsidized, or you choose as you did, to sacrifice for your children by homeschooling, though many I’m sure are not capable of taking that route. Just for the record, I am a product of public school. While better than today, they still were not of the caliber of a private school. Most of my knowledge was obtained after leaving public education facilities.

All that you said plus daily bullying either on the bus or in school while teachers and administration turn a blind eye. Imagine a workplace that would permit the intimidation that goes on every single day in public schools. Lawyers would have a field day.

Americans would suffer any burden to send their children to schools without black kids. That includes many Black Americans as well.

It is a well known fact here in Michigan that many of public school teachers send their kids to private or parochial schools.

This is a “well, duh” story.

Christians and conservatives know the wrong values are being taught. College graduates suspect nothing truly intelligent is being taught and high earners just want their kids in a status school like all their status neighbors.

Q: Where did the Clintons and Obamas send *their* children? A: Not a public school but Sidwell Friends.
