Vacation or European Vacation should have been on the list.

Here's one scene that could never be made today.

We both got off on the wrong exit.

...Everything that is bad has become worse because of global warming....
The words “Donald Trump” are interchangeable with “Global Warming.”

I believe it was stalled by an early winter cold front from the north - just what to expect as we slide down the back half of the interglacial period. These kind of events will become more and more frequent as the continental glacier moves south, covering New York, Detroit, and Chicago.

Where’s my climate change research money check?

Americans are always going to live in beautiful but tempestuous places - it seems to be in our pioneering dna. Just look at the Little Prairie novels in which Pa picks the nicest land and then endures hell to keep it. It is something no modern European can understand.

Tell me about it. I just bought a piece of land in Mississippi that my parents once owned, but sold after Hurricane Camille. They never built on it, but one of the subsequent owners did - there are still remnants of the house swept away by Katrina.

How do I rationalize it? It saves time, having bayou frontage and a dock. No need to trailer my boat for an hour or more, just to wet a fishing line.

Rather than putting in multinational tollroads and high speed rail, how about an canal or pipeline to channel more of this water to the Gulf?

EXACTLY. Houston may need something on like Tokyo's Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel system (but on a larger scale) so it will divert heavy rainfall water away the various rivers and creeks in the Houston area.

I lived directly on the Jersey Shore for ten years. Nor’easters, hurricanes, fog, fires and 9/11!
