I don’t own a gun.
It isn’t necessary where I live.
There are also registration requirements here that I don’t want to abide by.
However, I am a lifetime NRA member and understand the need and desire of people that don’t live on ridiculously low crime little islands to carry a weapon
It isnt necessary where I live.
Yes, I see you live on Guam. You may not need a gun, but I guess there is some discussion there about the possibility of the need for fallout shelters.
Someone might catch on and decide to culturally enrich you with a few boat loads of 20 something African men.
Good afternoon (EDT).
I understand where you are coming from. I would feel naked without a firearm however. I have been carrying since I was 18.
Quick story. I an another FReeper (if he is still with us), were in Turkey circa 1977. Jimmah Carter issued blanket order through the chain of command that no military personnel would be armed outside the wire.
Well, the detachments, air and naval bases were experiencing casualties. The PKK was primarily responsible.
About 6 months before we left, if we went downtown etc., you had to go with an NCO (who was armed against orders).
The casualty rate dropped dramatically.
Peanut man was a disaster.
