At this stage, Merkel with the CDU-CSU Party situation....will take 38-percent of the vote. The anticipated challenger (SPD) have fallen since January from around 32-percent to 22-percent. It’s just not any real challenge for Merkel.

She will have to form a coalition situation with a junior party, and that’s the only real issue left as you wait for the election to occur in three weeks.

Any replacement to Merkel will be even worse.

Germany carefully constructed an election system designed to prevent people from being able to have a voice. It is designed to prevent another NSDAP from sweeping into power quickly.

But this wall has actually served to protect the German leaders from consequences, not to protect Germany from bad leaders.
