a Democratic strategist who warned that the Democrats are driving straight into a trap Trump has set.
I think they set their own trap, but it is nice of them to mention Trump......................

This purge is no different than what ISIS, the Taliban, and Al Qaeda have been doing. It’s a sign of a mental disorder.
Hey, if they’re going to eliminate statues, shouldn’t they eliminate books, school books, all government references, movies, news reports, museum or historical references?
Once this is done, those who wish to can simply deny it ever happened.
After all, where would the proof be?

“Now, with Trump looking to be accurate in his assessment, some Democrats are getting nervous. The Times article cites Paul Begala, a Democratic strategist who warned that the Democrats are driving straight into a trap Trump has set.”
Haaaaahaaaahaaaaaaa........yeah, Trump set the trap. What trap was that? How did Trump make these fools go out and act like lawless thugs?

Horse... barn... They have already alienated the “center”, and even the left.

Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty-Four

So the people at the Times are in favor of tearing down monuments. They just don’t want to see Trump gain politically from this. They are afraid of backlash, perhaps?
To: Gamecock
May?
May?
Another proof that the NSM plays with much fewer cards than a full deck.
The left will pay.
Dearly.
One way or another.
To: Vaquero
Yep, and all brought to us by the self-proclaimed omnipotent Left.
There’s no public discussion leading to an election where an individual promised to do things like this gets elected.
This mob simply takes matters into their own hands and destroys things with reckless abandon.
It’s just evil.

NAZIs did it. Communists did it and do it. Totalitarinas must eradicate all knowledge of history lest people understand that their schemes are unworkable or at least lead only to famine and slavery for those not in The Party. And even the ruling Oligarchy must shrink as resources collapse and fewer and fewer of them can live in splendour.
