It seems like illegals are more violent than us. Illegals seem to commit a disproportionately large number of crimes, even though the media would like to bury news like this.

Their very willingness to invade where they aren't wanted sets them apart from normal human beings.
Think about it, if you were a criminal where would you rather live? Mexican jails, as well as those in Central America are notorious rat holes.
They know the odds are they won’t even go to jail in the U.S. or stay there, because we mostly give them a slap on the wrist and let them go on being criminals. If they do go to jail it is much nicer here. It is a win/win situation for them, if their criminal activities involve making money then they can make far more here as well.
Those that support open borders and illegals want to brag about the illegals that come here to work hard and have a better life. They want to ignore the criminal element that comes here because life is far better here for them too.
That is why we must strictly enforce our immigration laws, that is the only way we have to sort the good people that want to immigrate here from the bad element, no matter where they come from. With an open door policy there is no way to even try to keep out the absolute criminals.
