What concerns me is the fear that inaccurate data is being used for our weather forecasts, which might explain why they have gotten so miserable. Hurricane Matthew last year was a prime case in point—predicted to go out to sea, yet we learn THAT MORNING that we are going to experience a direct hit later that day. Interestingly enough, the military at Camp Lejeune knew days before that the hurricane would likely be heading directly towards NC, and they canceled an exercise because of it. Last week there was an article describing how surprised the weather services were at the flooding from Matthew!!?? The article then went on to congratulate all the forecasters. Pitiful. Years ago the forecasts were much more accurate than they are now. I believe they are using faulty forecast computerized models that support the climate change agenda, at the price of lost lives due to unexpected catastrophic weather.

That is an extremely interesting and troubling point. If it is so, we need conservative weather forecasters to counter the global warming forecasters the same way we need conservative news outlets to counter the MSM news outlets.

I little birdie told me that the best super computers at NOAA/NWS are working on Climate change and that the daily/weekly forecasts are being done with the slowest Super Computers. Leaving the medium speed computer for severe weather.

The hydrology department hasn’t moved to the brand new multi million dollar facilities and is staffed by only one person because a now retired Senator refused to allow the jobs to leave her state when the State were the new facility had been built went republican in the last house/senate elections several years ago.

The daily data collected gets fed into the daily/weekly forecasts and then archived for Climatologists.

There is no configuration management/ audit trail of the data that I know of. git, subversion,
