These people should not be in a university. They should get an answer to their demands and it should be NO. They are there to learn, if they can not spend their time in a more useful manner perhaps more obligatory courses should be imposed. Calculus should be a freshman requirement and if they keep it up Quantum Physics should be added.
When I was a Freshman in 1966, the University I attended required exactly that. No math course below Calculus was offered.
