Is 20 inches of rain enough for one?

Could possibly become Cat 1 or cat 2 storm

I pray that Harvery heads over Central and West Texas. And stays for a week or so.

It was bad enough when they started naming hurricanes after men. Now they’re naming one after an invisible bunny?

That graphic says a lot! If I read that right, 36-inchs of rain in Fort Bend County?

Looks like every one of the major river watersheds in southeast Texas could go above flood stage.

That is not good.

I say amen to your prayer!

Otherwise, I’m in store for a LOT of rain. (SE TX)

Harvey heading to Central TX would do much for the rivers/lakes and drought looking land, in that area. They need the rain MUCH more than SE TX does!

Are you in SE TX, too?

Harvey looking good..I expect the NHC to increase the wind forecast..could be a major Hurricane IMO..

main story will be the rain....the storm could sit for a couple of days..just inland

Track with loops in similar to Allison which dumped 20-35 inches on Houston....in 2001

This storm is larger and stronger then Allison...

also its been Wet recently over TX(ie no drought)

good news bad/news

the 12z early model suites have shifted the storm track a little north

good news: corpus christi wont be on the bad(ie right side) of the storm with major surge into the bay

bad news: houston metro gets more rain

Gulf of Mexico storms can quickly intensive!

Harvey could a cat 3 at landfall.

Rainfall potential is now 36" Most of Texas Gulf Coast is basically at sea level.
