(PALM BEACH, FL--) The 12th Annual Policemen's Ball will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at The Mar-A-Lago Club.

James and Gaye Engel will serve as chairman and chairwoman and will begin with poolside cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and raise money for the Palm Beach Police Department.

John and Monika Preston will serve as honorary chairman and chairwoman for the night. After poolside cocktails, the festivities begin with The Palm Beach Pipe & Drums, a presentation of the colors by the Palm Beach Police Honor Guard, the presentation of this year's Palm Tree Award Recipient, as the Officer of the Year and exciting Live Auction.

The Palm Tree Award is the foundation's highest honor and is given in recognition of continued support of The Palm Beach Police Foundation and the Palm Beach community. Previous recipients include Jeff Greene (2017), Leo and Kathryn Vecellio (2016), David S. Mack (2015), E. Llwyd Ecclestone (2014), Alexander W. Dreyfoos (2013), Howard and Michele Kessler (2012), Thomas C. Quick (2011), President Donald J. Trump (2010), William I. and Bridget Koch (2009), John J. Brogan (2008) and Leo N. Albert (2007).

The Palm Beach Police Foundation was established in 2006 to benefit both the sworn officers and civilian employees of the Palm Beach Police Department. The foundation board, comprised of civic leaders, town residents, members of the business and professional community, proudly provides financial support to our men and women in blue. Funds raised from the ball go directly to The Palm Beach Police Foundation. In addition to funding police programs, the Foundation provides scholarships and grants for education to qualified police department family members; new equipment for the department, and assistance to officers in need and in times of distress. In addition, the foundation provides funding to various civic, residential and business programs. Contact Lisa H. Loomis, Administrator at 561-820-8118 or LisaLoomis@pbpf.us for sponsorship and ticket information.

This is an event that Donald J Trump has often visited when it is held at his Mar-A-Lago resort. He personally appears to help raise money for the foundation.

The Policeman's Ball is one of the "big charities" that has apparently decided to STAY at Mar-A-Lago, unlike the weak and frightened snowflakes at the American Cancer Society, Cleveland Clinic and Salvation Army--organizations that have decided to believe the MEDIA LIARS instead of the 30+ year career of Donald Trump.

Kudos to the Police Officers who have not bowed their knee to the liars in the media.

By the way, if anyone isn't able to attend the Mar-A-Lago event (I am among those who isn't in the "black tie and tuxedo tails crowd!) you can donate on line or mail a donation. Would be nice to see the Policeman's Ball get a record amount this year, especially in a year when the sleazy media is trying to ruin Mar-A-Lago and the President.

1950s era TV shows would often mention buying tickets to the Policeman’s Ball as a mild form of bribery.

I didn’t realize there really was such a thing.

Probably a lot more common than the “Meat Cutter’s Ball” on the “Brady Bunch”.
