This is obvious in Alabama. There’s just no one with talent or skills running for any of the major offices within the state. It’s different with mayors...probably half the mayor positions within the state are Democrat, but they never seem to get any traction to go beyond that.

It is the same story...large cities in Alabama (and the rest of the South) often have a high enough percentage of black voters to elect the mayor. Statewide is another story.
