I hate to say it but I agree with the protestors - that city government and McAwful do have blood on their hands. No way they should have ordered the police to stand down. Those two groups should never have gotten anywhere near each other. The result was predictable - or is that what they wanted?
I agree with you. The whole thing reeks of a staged event. Even if it wasn’t, the police were either ordered to stand down or were not adequately supported in order to intervene. And the responsibility for that failure ultimately falls on the elected leadership; mayor and council.

Wasn’t it a Judge that ordered that the two groups could not be separated? It’s the Judge who caused the problem. Very strange for a Judge to rule such a thing.
