Schools from preschool through college have not been checking status of students for many years. If you show up they will help you get enrolled, skip over the legalities, help you get financial aid, free books, ETC.
However, If you are a foreign student trying to go to school here legally they make you jump through unbelievable hoops. Every i must be dotted, every t crossed, you will not qualify for any assistance. Likely you won’t even be admitted. The liberal support is only for illegals, not for those trying to do things legally.
