They were ordered deported in 2012 and granted a stay in 2013. Two subsequent requests for stays were denied.
They came here illegally in 2009, to reunite with family, at least part of their family was here illegally. These were not small children that came here with their parents when they came. Sounds like they were caught at the border with false documents and detained but were told to turn them loose. They were granted a stay originally but it was not approved after 2013. At that time they were under deportation orders, since they were already under deportation orders, they were deported.
ICE is deporting illegals that are under deportation orders, that is how it should be. Since these boys were given a stay and then later it was not approved (when O was still President) there is more to this story, I would bet they didn't bother to keep up with the paperwork, didn't show up for hearings or do their renewal process. The thing is this is happening to many illegals because they were so sure they were going to get amnesty they quit even trying to follow immigration laws.
Schools from preschool through college have not been checking status of students for many years. If you show up they will help you get enrolled, skip over the legalities, help you get financial aid, free books, ETC.
However, If you are a foreign student trying to go to school here legally they make you jump through unbelievable hoops. Every i must be dotted, every t crossed, you will not qualify for any assistance. Likely you won’t even be admitted. The liberal support is only for illegals, not for those trying to do things legally.

We had to sacrifice for years to get ours their college funds. Of course, the randomly picked roommate for daughter was an illegal with a full ride. This El Salvadorian gets no sympathy.

Going back and re-thinking this, it seems that he was granted a scholarship BECAUSE he was an illegal under the idiotic Obama admin.
So, I change my mind. This is not someone who earned a right to come here to go to school, it is someone who was given a benefit for being illegal.
