If they are in a public union nobody should be paying for them. They should be buying free meals for the people paying taxes that allow them to retire millionaires at an early age.

Googled it. Nothing fancy - an old fashioned diner. The kind of place I love for breakfast.

Lots of Silicon Valley millionaires around Morgan Hill.

In the late ‘90’s it had gotten so out of hand that upper-scale shop employees all over the bay area were warned to not judge people in the shop by appearance or behavior. They could be someone who had just made their first 10 million in yesterdays IPO.

My housemate at the the time, Charles, was closing his brother’s art gallery, located on Union Square in San Francisco, at the time.

As he was locking the front door, he noticed somebody with scraggly hair and beard, wearing dirty, threadbare clothes looking in the front display window. Mindfull of the warning, he asked if he could help the guy. The guy asked to come in and look around, so Chuck let him in. He wandered around looking at the art for less than ten minutes, thanked Chuck politely, and left.

The next day the guy, dressed a bit nicer now, came back with an entourage of three large men, all carrying suitcases. He asked to see the owner/manager, then walked through the shop, gesturing at complete walls, saying, “I’ll take this one, this one, this one,.....”

All told, nearly a million dollars worth of art, at retail prices. The suitcases carried by the entourage were filled with cash, which paid for the art. The guy said that he would send a U-Haul for the stuff, after it was packed up.

The “guy” turned out to be Jerry Garcia. Not a software/internet millionaire perhaps, but an example of why you can’t judge people by their appearance in the greater San Fran Bay Area.
