So, is the judge a liberal anti-gun guy? Just curious

So this is OH? There are a lot of "Jefferson County"s... with lots of crime...

Wikipedia says 26, second only to "Washington", with 31.

Fire Department Lieutenant Fatally Shoots Teen Stealing Car: Reports
By Kelly Bauer | August 22, 2017 7:53am

CHICAGO — A with the Fire Department lieutenant fatally shot a teen who stole his car in Austin on Monday morning, according to reports.

At 9:30 a.m., a 45-year-old man was in the 1400 block of North Lockwood Avenue when he got out of his car and left it running, police said. A 17-year-old entered the man’s car.

The man fired shots at the teen, police said, hitting him in his chest. The teen was taken to West Suburban Hospital and pronounced dead.

The man told officers he shot at the car in an attempted to stop the teen from rolling over him, police said.

The man had a valid concealed carry license and Firearm Owner’s Identification card. He is a lieutenant in the Fire Department, according to the Tribune, and was off-duty at the time of the shooting.

It is not clear if this was a personal weapon, or if probation officers are armed as part of their duties.

The best I can find out, whether probation officers in Ohio are armed or not is at the option of the county.
