My Uncle disappeared one day 50 years ago and was never seen again. Left a wife and two little girls. Never a word from him. I used to think it was desertion but now I am considering foul play.

I am an old man, and over my lifetime I have seen guys up and leave their families. I've ALWAYS considered that these guys were somehow brain dead, socio- or psychopathic.

But after doing research, I have come to believe that some people simply disappear. You may laugh, but I believe that David Paulides' research is documenting some scary stuff. It's not all hunters, campers, and trail walkers who are lost. There may be something else going on. I have no idea what.
