Poll: Mitch McConnell’s Kentucky Approval Rating Plummets to 18 Percent (Trump 60 in KY)

The approval rating of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has plummeted to just 18 percent, a survey from Public Policy Polling has found.

The poll, which surveyed 645 Kentucky voters, found that just 18 percent of respondents approved of McConnell’s current performance, compared to 74 percent who disapproved. Seven percent of people said they were not sure.

McConnell, who is the longest-serving U.S. Senator in Kentucky history, having represented the state since 1984, was recently criticized by President Trump for failing to pass the healthcare reform bill through the Senate.

“Can you believe that Mitch McConnell who has screamed Repeal & Replace for 7 years, couldn’t get it done,” Trump wrote on Twitter earlier this month. “Mitch, get back to work and put Repeal & Replace, Tax Reform & Cuts and a great Infrastructure Bill on my desk for signing.”

Meanwhile, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has a far higher approval rating of 39 percent, although he still holds a high disapproval rating of 47 percent.

Voters in Kentucky also have a far higher opinion of Trump’s job in office, giving him a 60 percent approval rating. In last year’s presidential election, Trump carried the state by 62.5 against Hillary Clinton’s 32.7 percent.

Have you seen the video Bevin made a few months ago calling out prominent media personalities for lying about him? The guy is just awesome. I’m not sure we haven’t done better with him ending up in the Governor’s seat. Now he has executive experience, he’s a much more likely Presidential possibility.

I’ll never forgive Assachussets for that, apologies to Freepers from Mass, but how the hell could the people there reelect that killer over and over and over for 50 years even after he kills a woman? That’s just inconceivable to me. That was no “accident”, he deliberately left a woman to die like she was garbage and they reelect him again and again and again, and not only that run him for POTUS???

I lived in MA for over two decades. The people I met all but worshipped the Kennedys. The only reason I could see was religion. Many in MA are Catholic, and so are the Kennedys. If it wasn’t that I don’t know what it was. Like you, I found them a repulsive family.
