Drove 40 miles down I-5 to Brooks, Oregon to get a minute and a half of totality. Impressive but I probably wouldn’t make the effort again.
I think it’s a religious experience for some people(mostly liberals), and they’ll go to great lengths to see an eclipse again and again.
Yeah there is a bunch known as eclipse chasers who travel all over the world to catch them.
