Foggy along some of the Oregon coast but that’s not where I’m headed - I’ll be at the edge of the southeastern Oregon desert basin.
I hope the Good Lord holds off on Oregon’s chastisement for at least another day — Lord knows the governor deserves it after signing into law the “free abortions for all bill” - covering even transients and illegals. Somehow this fits in well with the total eclipse of sanity in western Oregon and particularly the state government.
I’ll be taking Modafinil Rx to stay awake on the drive. It’s only 3 AM here. Same drug used by military pilots to promote wakefulness.
At a beautiful lake/reservoir outside of Baker, OR. traffic was light on the way down — the media predictions of epic freeway traffic jams were so much bull. In fact, the only way I could tell it wasn’t “any” morning on I-84 was the occasional car with a gas can strapped on top! There are probably 20 people at the boat launch area where I am and some tents across the lake. Definitely not too crowded although I think the little chipmunks probably wonder what is going on. One boater, a joker, keeps playing “Here comes the sun” over and over.
