Understanding Democrat strategy in the cities
American Thinker ^ | August 19,2017 | David Staats

Posted on 08/19/2017 4:10:54 PM PDT by Hojczyk

The Democratic Party's remaining strength is in large urban areas. In the 2016 presidential election, the Democrats carried fewer than 500 counties, almost all of them urban, out of a total some 3,100 counties nationwide. The Democrats must hold onto this urban support, or the party will collapse.

Therefore, President Trump's announced intention to improve life in America's cities is an existential threat to the Democratic Party. If President Trump succeeds in bringing jobs, safety, education, and prosperity to America's inner cities, the Democrats would lose their last strongholds of support.

The Democrats are resisting, as they must. The Democratic mayor of Chicago is suing to keep in place Chicago's policy of shielding criminal aliens. Other big-city Democratic mayors are doing the same.

If the citizens of America's big cities should begin to see that crime is going down, that jobs are returning, that schools are improving, all due to President Trump's and the Republicans' policies, it would be a disaster for the Democratic Party. The Democrats cannot allow this to happen. For this reason, the Democrats are resisting fiercely any policy of the Republicans that will improve life in the inner cities.

Therefore, when you read about crime committed by an illegal alien, you are reading about the results of deliberate Democratic Party policy. Example: With a history of arrests and at least 20 deportations, an illegal alien was released by Portland, Oregon authorities in defiance of a federal immigration hold, whereupon he is alleged to have attacked and sexually assaulted two women.

It is an existential necessity for the Democrats that life in the cities must not improve while President Trump is in office. Thus, the Democrats' resistance to and obstruction of the administration's efforts to restore law and order in the cities. Obstruct safe streets. Resist jobs.

In a post-Obama world many blacks are staying on the Democrat plantation.

A recent poll by the Hispanic League showed 20% Republican support from young (high school) blacks.

20%!

This is an attempt to re-establish the victim mentality and play the race card to prepare for the next election.

They’re already searching for another Obama — African-American with personality and not much of a track record to attack.

“The Democrats are resisting, as they must.”

Why is that?

I thought politics was about selecting the best person for a job?

If a Republican is obviously the best person for a job, why would the Democrats resist?

Doesn’t everybody want the best person to have the job?

Why would the Democrats automatically have to resist Republicans?

I could see them resisting if their only concern was electing thieves to steal for them, but isn’t that just aiding and abetting criminals instead of voting?

Let’s ask Puerto Rico.

Young black kids need to be taught history. Young people in general are not deep thinkers. They react to symbols. They should know that MLK was a Republican at the time of the freedom marches. George Wallace was a Democrat. Lester Maddox was a Democrat. Bull Conner was a Democrat. Bull Conner's dogs were Democrats. Every Ku Kluxer who ever soiled a sheet was a Democrat. The perps who blew up the church and killed the little girls were Democrats. If twelve year old black kids knew this, they would all be Republicans.

"... President Trump's announced intention to improve life in America's cities is an existential threat to the Democratic Party.">

President Trump wants all able bodied people off welfare and working....the Democrats see those same people as needing government help, keeping them on the government plantation....Democrat run cities are either in ruins or looking for banks to bail them out. Their past largess i.e., welfare has made it possible for once hard working Americans, to make $30.00 an hour....why would anyone want a real job?

This is incredible to think about.

We have two major political parties. It’s incredible to me that one of them carried only 500 some out of over 3,000 counties nationwide.

I’ve seen the map which shows the county by county breakdown. America is a sea of red, with clusters of blue in the coastal liberal areas.

Hillary got only 50 electoral votes from states in the interior of America. The vast majority of her support came from the liberal enclaves in the northeast and Pacific coast states.

While liberals bitch about the electoral college and ask “What’s the matter with Kansas”, why doesn’t Kansas vote for Democrats, they are devolving into a regional party. They are a fringe party both geographically and in political ideology.

What you are referring to are to areas of this country called, respectively,”Trumpland” and “The Clinton Archipelago.” https://www.inverse.com/article/25635-map-remakes-us-trumpland-clinton-archipelago

Have you seen the statistics on inner city schools? Most of them can’t even read. How can you expect them to learn anything?

They are not expected to read. They are not desired to learn to read in today’s socialist schools. The whole plan is to keep them from reading. ESPECIALLY founding documents (cursive reading and writing). Then they might actually find out what a farce their ‘task-masters’ er, teachers and gov-officials are.

They’ve become a party reliant on the votes of people fed, clothed, housed, and schooled by the working people of this country. One reason their fundraising is down is that as they lose working people (and those that want to work), they are left with a base that contributes to NOTHING.

Is there something that you can show me that proves MLK was a democrat?

The Left continues its phenomenal record of success -- not in elections, of course, where normal Americans have a voice -- but in crushing dissent and silencing the Right in the public arena:

-- President Trump has cancelled his appearance at the Kennedy Center -- Win for the Left

-- Conservative speaches at yesterday's rally in Boston were cut short because of concerns over the Left's counter-protest -- Win for the Left

-- Charitable foundations have pulled out of long-years of fundraising at a President Trump-owned resort -- Win for the Left

-- Conservative speakers continue to be prevented from speaking at universities and in other public venues -- Win for the Left

In fact, the only win the Right has had recently is Dennis Prager's victory over the Left which tried desperately to prevent him from conducting an orchestra -- an event that has absolutely nothing to do with politics or ideology!

The Left does this under the banner of "equality" and "tolerance" and "anti-racism/bigotry" and "anti-bullying" -- none of which the Left practices (except within their own ranks ... and even then, the second a Leftist strays even a millimeter out of line, the Left turns on them with the same viciousness -- the same evil -- as they do with anyone on the Right.)

We (the Right) had better step up to this situation and counter the persistent attacks of the Left effectively (despite not having the support of many of those we have elected to Congress) and do so without mercy -- and we'd better be quick about it or it won't be long before we are no longer able to do so!
