When you have leading Republican politicians defending the right of violent leftists to attack peaceful protestors - regardless of how vile the views of those protestors - because they disagree with their speech, then the message to the leftists is that it’s open season on anyone they view as being complicit with “white oppression”. Think the cops are a tool of white oppression, then they are legitimate targets. This is what idiots like Romney, Rubio and McCain refuse to acknowledge: when you strip the rights of any group to peaceable assembly and free speech, you are inciting anarchy.
