Corker is a definite business as usual politician who worked with Barack Obama to pass the Iran nuclear deal.
His Corker Amendment raised the bar to defeat the Iran deal to 2/3 giving a lot of senators the ability to look good by voting against it while the deal went through anyway.
Corker’s goal in the Iran deal was the lifting of sanctions so Boeing and Airbus could sell commercial aircraft to Iran.
Even now, sanctions imposed on Iran don’t touch those airplane sales proving that guys like Corker are in the back pockets of crony capitalist big business that wants to do business with bad guys like the Iranians.
