They were sold a lot of spin. It is the official teaching in a lot of churches these days. Even denominations.

I know first-hand. I worked for one that published it.

And I saw a couple of them get close to physically-violent if you took the Bible literally.

A well-known, yes even Protestant denomination that I won’t name publicly nor by FReepmail. It was jaw-dropping.

I’ve been up close and personal; and yes it was unpleasant. Especially when one of them was my boss. Hrrrmpf.

I might have spelled hrrmpf incorrectly....

(you may get double-pinged)

Luke 12:56 King James Version

“Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?”

2 Peter 3:4 King James Version

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Yep,

Postmil.

“Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?”

Literal interpretation “this time.” Regarding soon.

70 AD Abomination of Desolation

In the Gospel of Mark, the phrase “spoken of by Daniel the prophet” is absent in the Codex Sinaiticus. So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

My literal interpretation of the bible is very consistent. Postmil!

I also won’t continue to discuss this on this thread. Thread hijack.

But, Eph 2:8,9 for me.

A follow-up question, Does someone have to be dispensational premil to be saved?

Until something better comes along, I’m pretty literal about the Bible.
