Despite the recent events in Charlottesville, Va., the Six Flags Over Texas theme park stands by its decision to fly the Confederate States of America flag.
The Arlington theme park was named for the six flags that have flown over the state of Texas in its history, the Confederate flag being one of them, according to TMZ.

Where are they going up?
I’m in the deep, deep south and see less Confederate flags today than I saw a few years ago?
I wish I could believe they will not cave in at some point.
That is exactly the way it should be.
The business has the right to fly the flag. (So far).
The public has a right to NOT utilize the business.
If business drops to the non profit status, they may or may NOT remove the flag in order to gin up business.
If business flourishes they will then be able to look around and see who ‘causes them problems’ and act accordingly.
ie if the Muslims are causing problems on the grounds, start flying a bacon flag etc.
I have always stated that I fail to comprehend how segregation works.
If you don’t want me in your store, bar, house, etc, just let me know and I will take myself and money elsewhere.
In this case, if the flag ‘offends’ you don’t darken my door.
People have gone to 6 Flags of every race for DECADES!
Not one time has anyone been sold into slavery or lynched... other than at the ticket booth.
Don’t mess with Texas!
It’s in the name. Are they endorsing Mexico, France or Spain by flying their flags?
I’m in W.Va and I’m seeing many more.

We live in Wyoming and up until the left told everyone that they couldn’t have a Battle Flag of Virginia we were really indifferent to the subject.
Now, right next to our US flag is a Battle Flag of Virginia flying on its own pole that’s one foot shorter than the pole for the US flag.
The left are welcome to come and try to take it down. We have a backhoe and can make plenty of room for them on the ranch.
Boycott 6 Flags ??
Off topic but I have friends in the Washington DC area who boycott the 6 Flags there, but for different reasons. They don’t go to that 6 Flags park because there is a certain gang or thuggish element in big numbers at that place.
If they change the name, I will boycott them - and I live in San Antonio near SIX FLAGS Fiesta Texas, and have 2 teens.
That’ll cost you SIX Flags management, so be careful.
