This is horrible - that area is always packed, both with tourists and locals.
This is my concern here in the USA for the eclipse. Tens of Thousands on people crammed into open fields across the Path of Totality. close to 200K expected a one small town in OR. This is the new M.O. Easy to carry out, easy to resource, hard to detect until it is too late.
On the flip side, a lot of folks carry in Central Oregon. If it were to happen, I hope some Great American puts a stop to it PDQ.
