Media quick to disassociate Sanders from his supporter who attempted to assassinate Republicans

When a Bernie Sanders supporter attempted to assassinate Republicans, the media were quick to disassociate a politician from his radical supporters

President Trump is being roundly criticized by the media for failing to criticize one side over the other in the Charlottesville riots, even before the exact sequence of events is understood, such as who initiated the violence. The verdict in this case must precede the evidence.

Let’s take a short trip down memory lane and recall how the media treated the attempted assassination of House Republicans by a Bernie Sanders supporter. James Hidgkinson, who had a prolific history of outspokenness in support of Sanders and known to be fanatical. No one on the left raised a peep about him. Following the massacre, Sen. Sanders said:

"I have just been informed that the alleged shooter at the Republican baseball practice is someone who apparently volunteered on my presidential campaign," Sanders said. "I am sickened by this despicable act. Let me be as clear as I can be: Violence of any kind is unacceptable in our society and I condemn this action in the strongest possible terms. Real change can only come about through nonviolent action, and anything else runs against our most deeply held American values."

Just like President Trump, he condemned violence, but avoided any rebuke to his supporters by name. The media lapped it up, and added that it wasn’t fair to tar Bernie and his followers with any responsibility. There are, after all, prominent progressive who incite the assassination of President Trump, without noticeable rebuke by name from the leader of the Democrats’ left, and the party’s most popular politician.

There was more media effort to discredit the critics of Sanders than to draw the lines connecting progressive rhetoric to violence.

Compare and contrast the media reaction.

I’ll go one better. Obama not denouncing and actually defending BLM at the memorial service for the 5 Dallas police officers murdered by a member of the group.

Given a complete pass as usual.

Trump hatred in the media even exceeds what Nixon experienced. Either Trump toughs it out or the Left will win.

This is not about what is best for our country. This is about applying Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals and Sun Tsu’s “Art of War” tactics to destroy the USA and create chaos.

We are dealing with an evil far greater than Radical Muslims, Radical Democrats, Radical White Supremacists, Pro-Abortionists, and anti-Christian atheists.

Fear and anger lower our consciousness and make us vulnerable to manipulation. To get caught up in the extremes on either side will destroy us. Our Faith in God must always be our primary focus if we are to rise above the turmoil and see the bigger picture from a higher perspective.

I recently read Chairman Mao’s “Art of War” and how he used Sun Tsu’s tactics to defeat General Chiang Kai-shek. It, along with Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” and Sun Tsu’s “Art of War” should be required reading, study and discussion. Knowledge is the key to freedom, even in times of turmoil.

It doesn’t matter who started the violence. Auntie Faye and BLM violence is GOOD! defense against Auntie Faye and BLM is unacceptable violence and NAZI and KKK and must be deplored and its practitioners at least hung and maybe drawn-and-quartered.

Just keeping the long skirts hiked up so no mud or other street debris may soil the hem.

Wouldn’t have to do that if they stayed up out of the gutter.

Yes.

Trump, and hence America, must make it plain that the Left does not drive Trump’s agenda, and it certainly does not drive America’s.

Make America Great Again!

CA....

There was a Sanders supporter in Seattle who went berserk on a train and stabbed people. I think there was 1 or 2 other Sanders supporters who have committed violence.

The Democrats have gone further than ever, and their key supporters are now basically paramilitary people committed to violence. But we’ll try not to notice that.

Agreed. I do get tired of trying to discuss and at least point this out, especially to the younger ones. But my patience does wear thin and I am getting older..this stuff does wear me down..after 9 plus years of 0bama on the scene.. I need a battery recharge then come back and present the material again to those in my world.. thank you.

I too am worn down. People make emotional decisions and believe what they want to believe based upon the emotions and not the facts of the situation. Our words of warning fall upon deaf ears.

I’m fine if I die today... But I feel bad for my children and grandchildren. Hard times are on the horizon.

We need to rebuild the concept of community and allow the helium to escape from the over inflated egos. We need to turn to God for help and stop thinking that we are God.
