Confederate monuments were torn down down in Baltimore overnight just days after white nationalists led a deadly protest over the planned removal of a statue in Virginia.

Work crews used heavy machinery to haul the divisive monuments away in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile the murder and violence in Baltimore continues apace. When you can’t fix the problem, you look for a distraction. That’s what politicians do.

Good Idea, put them away in a safe place and wait for sanity to return, if it ever will.

Drunk with glee that those evil inciters of violence are gone and all violence will come to an immediate end.

I have no problem with any city government that wants to do this on their own. Heck -- President Trump said in his press conference yesterday that these decisions should be made by local governments.

How many people in Baltimore can even read an inscription on a statue, let alone give a damn about whose statue it is?

Muzzie terrorists won on one side, liberals win on another and the GAYSTAPO on the third. We have them surrounded.

Baltimore asks people to promise not to kill anyone over a weekend. That’s their solution to the problems of violence and shootings there.

Recently some Civic leaders in Baltimore had a conference and concluded that Baltimore has an image problem. They lamented how middle class families with children have moved out of Baltimore. They wondered what to do to bring back people.

The negro youth should be happy. Their lives are now complete now that evil reminders of the past are gone. Now they can stop protesting the legacy of slavery and all that.

There’s something that the left never considered in all this. Now that they’ve set the standard, any new statue will have an extra price tag attached to it being the cost of removing it after it upsets someone. Most likely many future proposed statues will be of leftists. They don’t think that far ahead.

I would be in favor of the removal of all symbols of the perceived racist past. I really would be. Remove all the statues, rename all buildings that bear racist names, just bury that history. I would be in favor of that, IF, the constant drumbeat of slavery, Jim Crow, and all the other talk about our racist past WOULD CEASE. Without those statues, names, and other reminders of “the past”, it would mean that slavery NEVER HAPPENED. Slavery? Never happened. Oh, it did? Prove it! I don’t see anything that implies it ever happened. Just stfu and move on with your life.

I bet if you asked any of these offended vandals a week ago to name the statues in their park, they wouldn't have a clue. Nobody even looks at the statues in parks anymore. I work near Central Park, walk through there all the time, and I'm hard pressed to name any of the many statues there besides Christopher Columbus and Balto the Sled Dog.

All this controversy over statues is being ginned up by an anti-Trump media who want to get Trump at all costs. Somehow we got through eight years of Obama and nobody made a peep about these statues. It's all a bunch of nonsense.

Right. The underlying strategy is to take a bunch of pathetic leftist losers and convince them that they are pathetic losers in life because of some statue in a park dedicated to some guy who died more than a century ago.

It takes a special kind of pathetic loser to fall for that nonsense.
