People are strange when you’re a stranger...

Well, I don’t live there, but having watched the Barbour/Cochran fiasco a couple years ago, I hope folks will automatically vote against anyone Haley Barbour endorses.

Get ready for the MSM, Democrat left, and the Establishment Republicans to spend upwards of $100,000 between the Republican runoff, and the general election to defeat Moore, but it wont work. Moore will win with almost 60% in the runoff and about 70% in the general

Mo will probably endorse Moore which should result in Moore beating Strange. However Strange seems to have access to all sorts of campaign money. Trump is on the wrong side of this race.

“After a tumultuous day during which Trump seemed to defend white supremacists who participated in a protest in Charlottesville, Va...”

That gratuitous piece of fake news jumped out at me, too.
What does that lie have to do with the story?

Get a load of the wording of that headline, talk about burying the lede.

65 of 67 counties

Moore 40%
Strange 31%

Latest results I could find...Moore around 69,000.....Strange around 53,000.....Brooks around 31,000....this is at 44% precincts reporting in....and around 9:45 PM Alabama time.

I'm sure there's later results on the web, but I'm too tired to pursue them, LOL.

Looks like a rout to me....hmmm.....

Strange now faces the challenge of needing to continue to court Trump’s supporters during a six-week runoff even as the national appetite for aligning with the president has diminished.

Could The Washington Post sound any more out-of-touch with GOP primary voters in Alabama?

It looks awful.

Yes it does. Mitch's boy lost to the conservative and even had Trump's endorsement. How could that happen.

Oh, the Establishment will definitely try to pull a “Mississippi” and have ‘RAT voters (who didn’t vote in the Democrat primary) cross over and vote for Strange in the runoff. They are likely to be quite blatant about it...it’s THAT important to the protectors of the Deep State.

I hope that all FReepers will strongly support Roy Moore in the run-off election.

Go with Trump’s endorsement. If not, why not?

Does Moore support President Trump? Support 2nd amendment, support the wall, support deporting illegal aliens, etc. I presume Strange, since he has Trump’s and NRA endorsements, does. What am I missing here, except maybe Moores’ claim to fame as a jurist vis-a-vis the 10 Commandments?

I feel Moore is the best choice to back up President Trump.

Strange is the GOP leadership choice and clearly their guy, not President Trump’s.

“even as the national appetite for aligning with the president has diminished.”

The Compost is so out of touch with main stream America, they have no clue that what Trump did in the presser today energized and solidified the support of all those that voted for him.

<>I>If not, why not?

Because Trump is game playing knowing how it will come out. GOP defects and opposes Trump. Trump still backs their candidate. Their candidate loses. It's on them, not Trump, and Trump can point out that the problem isn't him, it's that they are a bunch of losers.

You can add “stumbling responses...”

I watched the entire press conference, and re-watched some parts. “Stumbling” my arse...

Total fake news.
