MONTGOMERY, Ala. Sen. Luther Strange and former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore are headed to a Republican primary runoff to fill the U.S. Senate seat previously held by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

A waste of time-another runoff? $8 million spent by the RNC. Better spent next year in Missouri.
I hope the President does not re endorse Strange in the runoff, but I guess he cannot do that.
run off next month, election in December. Why don’t GOP legislatures end runoffs started by the racist Democrats.
Sorry to see Strange make it ahead of Brooks. Hopefully, after he’s elected Senator, Judge Moore will help Rep.Brooks unseat Shelby.
After the huge disappointment McConnell has been, it is hard to believe his guy Strange got that many votes. Watch for cheating in the runoff.
Shelby needs to retire. He will be 88 years old in 2022.
he was endorsed by Trump and NRA.
Strange things are a-happenin’
So? Has that ever caused a public official to retire?
Brooks needs to run against him, and use one of Al D’Amato’s themes against Javits — the idea that he might not survive another term.
Moore and Brooks would be a pretty good couple of Senators.
Gun Owners of America endorsed Moore and Brooks. They said Strange was too much of a blank check. The dint trust him.
They didn’t have to hold an election this year at all. Strange could’ve remained in the seat until the special election was required in November 2018. Only because of the controversial nature of his appointment did the new Governor schedule the primary, runoff and special general for this year.
As for getting rid of runoffs, I oppose that. We could use more runoffs, especially here in TN where RINOs win with a plurality thanks to Democrats flooding our open primaries.
Leads me to believe that Trump doesn’t want a real conservative in that office.
