He DID mention that the initial protestors were peaceful...just folks that wanted to protest removal of Lee’s statue. It got violent when the LEFT (AntiFa, BLM, and so forth) showed up. SOME posters here at FR can’t seem to get that thru their thick skulls.

The ones being violent were not counter protestors. That implies they were also peacefully demonstrating their opposition to the presence of the other groups. They weren’t. They were and should be called “rioters”.
