Believe it or not, Seattle's housing market favors sellers; Seattle based Amazon and Microsoft are in a hiring frenzy and folks are moving to Seattle in droves.
Most of the housing they're referring to are older large houses which have been converted into several apartments. New buyers will just remodel and turn them into primary residences, which, of course, will decrease the numbers of available housing.
