Except for Native Americans, we are all immigrants or children of immigrants.

Well that's quite a useless statement. There can only be two classes of citizen - native and naturalized. And it's incorrect - I'm a native American and I'm a child of a child of a child of immigrants. Not sure how far back, think half of my dad is great-granparent level, the rest further back to find the immigrant. Native Americans can be children of immigrants just fine.
