“Undeterred by the violence”....the writer is willfully ignorant. The whole point of this statue removal craze is to provoke a reaction.

That may be true. The real point is they get to destroy history and we are too afraid to react lest we be called racists.

I guess there ain’t nothing worth a fight anymore.

How exactly does removing Nathan Bedford Forrest's statue from the bank of the Mississippi River in Memphis, obtain literacy, employment, liberty, financial mobility, affordable housing, better schools, affordable medical care, family stability, or any opportunity for those who are need of such?

The facts are it does not, will not, cannot, and was never meant to do so for those being led to think so by those who are pulling the strings behind the curtain.
